We could see the need to provide care for our puppy family beyond the breeding and community building. There was a need for peace of mind care when the family of one of our puppies need to go away, have medical treatment or have drastic changes in their life.
We wanted a place for our puppy family to continue to come to, a home away from home, where connection and care come together centred around nature and health/wellbeing.
When we began our puppy farm holiday program in 2023 we really didn’t have facilities other than our home, garden and farm. Demand for our services has now allowed us to continue to develop our facilities, including the big fully enclosed puppy paddock. It now includes play pools, cubby house and slide, shelter shed, swimming trough and lots of room to run!
With 2.5kms of river frontage to the pristine Allyn River, puppies in our care can have daily swims during “free time” and become inquisitive about all things nature.
We teach all dogs in our care to run alongside motorbikes and ATV’s so they can do plenty of exercise each day and see the many sites across the farm. It also gives them a chance to learn new skills from their parents and keep their mind sharp and growing, whilst also being kept humble via thoughtful discipline - which Molly and Marlow plus Aunty Lass often provide as needed.
As part of your puppy farm holiday stay we provide beautiful nutritious meals without grains, focussing on muscle and mental strength. Our puppy meals as as toxin free as possible for short and long term full body health with an added aim for calmness and clarity. If you would like to pack extra special foods or treats please do and also feel free to discuss with us beforehand.
Other items to pack include:
- any special toys or blankets the puppy may require if homesick or missing their people
- a farm collar - something simple and inexpensive with nothing hanging down which may get caught on snags in the river or fence lines
- a daily routine outline - giving us an idea of what your puppy would usually be experiencing each day so we can stay close to this for easy adjustment here and when they return to your home
- a list of commands or training techniques currently used so that we can stick to this as much as possible and create consistency for you and your puppy
- a note of anything you do not want your puppy to do or behavioural concerns you might like us to address during the stay
